Dear Digger Anchor,

Here is a story about our experience using the new digger anchor which I purchased from Donnie. My friend and I were fishing below the dam at Warsaw, Missouri for white cats and flatheads after the big rains and the lake above was getting high. They opened the gates which caused extra swift strong water. There were a lot of boats on the water. Some were tied up along the bank and timber line trying to fish in the swift water and strong wind.

We put our boat in and went down below the dam. Everyone was having trouble anchoring out in the swift water. We threw our anchor out which was the digger anchor that I received from Donnie Lahr, CEO. We let out around 150 ft. of rope. The digger anchor dug into the bottom. It took both us to hold the boat while we tied it off. Then we started fishing.

Other boaters came and tried to anchor using large lead weights, cement blocks and other heavy weights. They slowly drifted because their anchors weren’t holding in the swift water. So, they would lift and drive back by and ask us how many hundred pounds of weight we had let out. I told them our anchor only weighed 15 pounds and then I started the motor, put it in reverse and gave it gas, we stayed right were we were and did not move. The other boaters were amazed.

I’ve talked to some of the same boaters that have purchased a digger anchor and are very happy the way it works.
I used 100 pound weights, cement blocks, and other heavy objects. They would get stuck in the mud and wasn’t able to get them up. Fishing in swift water is easy using the light weight digger anchor.
